New to the forum, periodic inspection

Hi everyone iv just joined the forum,
does anyone no if a fully qualified spark, but isn't a member of anything can do a installation condition report on a commercial premises? Iv asked 2 people who are both Nic eic members and they both told me different!
I would be great full for any information!! Thank

If you are competent to perform the Periodic then no, you certainly do not need to pay a small ransom to a robbing, theiving, middleman that achieves nothing but borrows your watch to tell you the time and charges you for it while removing your shirt- sorry I mean Competant Persons Scheme.

They are for self certifying notifiable work. Nothing to do with PIRS or EICRs. Although I am sure if you asked they will sell you some courses and persuade you otherwise.......

Make sure you have indemnity insurance before you start giving professional advice , which if competent to do so you are giving to the customer if doing a EICR
