Hi all
just started my 2365 level 2 and fought I'd say hi, im currently working in the domestic sector of electrics and have been now for about 7-8 months. Will eventually want to get more involved in commercial, but as for now I feel domestic is a good place to start to get a good understanding of electrics etc.
if any one knows where I can get practice test papers for the level 2 2365 that would be great?

Dan

Welcome to the forum mate, I would recommend investing in some books to be fair, trevor linsley ones are good. Advanced electrical installation work level 3 is a handy book to refer too. i found it covers most you will do in your course, there is a level 2 book also.

I have the city and guilds diploma in electrical installations book at present. I just looking to do some practice exams alongside. I have my first exam in January which is the health and safety one so shouldn't be to difficult.

Welcome Dan. Have a look around and make yourself at home lol.

Other trainees in here like Simon will be a year or two above you so listen to what they have to say, they have done what you are doing now.

H&S exam in January, easy. Just put a bit of effort into the books and you'll be fine.

Agree with Paul here, as long as you study the course work you are given and do some extra research in to each unit etc you should have no problems. All the best mate. And make sure you post up any questions you have in here for assistance etc. But please put your ideas forward first and people can help you from there.

Welcome Dan!

If you go to the Swindon Massive website you can do mock exams (multi choice like the real ones that will get you ready for the H+S exam. Its mostly common sense but i did get a couple of difficult questions on mine like it asked what colour a particular type of asbestos was and i had no idea!

Electrical Installation Revision Page for 2365 and 2357

If you scroll down to the 2365 section you will find access to the mock exams and also downloadable material which is really good.

This link should take you straight to the exams

2365 Index.

Thanks a lot mate, this is great stuff, exactly what I was looking for :).
i just gt asked :
Employees have a duty of care for their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their work. What section of the HaSaW etc 1974 is this?

Section 1
Section 7
Section 2
Section 6

Isit just me or is this something a lot of us would know ?? Lol was the only question I gt wrong though

I wouldnt have a clue about that one either! i think you only need about 60% to pass and 90% for a distinction in the exam so dont worry about getting the odd one wrong

That swindon massive site is good though, i paid the ÂŁ10 donation for one of the modules to download all the learning material and it was pretty good... think it was the 204 electrical science one

Good job this h&s baloney wasn't around when i was doing industrial work. climbing across girders with a SWA tied round the waist with cable ties. mate following with the girder clips.

yep.they give our liverpool docks a pasting, but what i can't forgive is them bombing our chippy, and ken doddy's street so we had no chips or coal for a week.
