Picking up a van on Wednesday.
Need to rack it out, which is best, Ply or metal racking?
Need to get a Van Vault? any recomendations?
Also looking for a pipe/conduit carrier, which brand is the most secure.

Thanks.

What van did you choose? I'm picking one up Tuesday :D
Ply, I heard steel can rattle (due to little flexibility).
Never used one, always fitted deadlocks on my vans.
Rhino tube, very good. Only downside is it leaves black marks on white PVC trunking and conduit.

Good choice!

Well my last Transit had 12mm ply glued and screwed, and it was definately robust enough.
I also built a false floor with 18mm ply to get ladders and trunking underneath.

I'd use ply too, always have and it's never failed me yet. Plus if a bit does come loose.....just bung another screw in it!!

Rhino pipe tubes are good & lockable the bay have them for around a ton.

I would go for either second hand or new Bott or sortimo racking off ebay, brilliant stuff and should last the lifetime of the vehicle. as for tube carriers all a much of a muchness really Rhino or van vault as others have said, just remember never to lock it or the ends will just get broken off when someone wants to find out if your a plumber or not.

Ply. It's lighter and easier to adapt to how you want it. My mates got his Transit done in dexion and wishes he didn't due to the weight mainly as he uses more diesel plus it rattles like a goodun'.
I've got a LWB transit and a tip here is I've lined the top racking with old carpet to stop the dreaded black marks on conduit and trunking.

Cheers,
Lofty.
