Hey im sam. Today ive been accepted onto my course study becoming an electrician! looking forward to it and this forum has helped me already! What new startup tips have you guys got in the big bad world of sparkys?

Im going for the full level 3 nvq
Qcf diploma, it includes everything!

Hey Sam :) Doesnt matter if your male or female! Some of us jst have a good personality and are female to go with it. What course are you doing? Theres some clearly very experienced and funny guys on here and there helpful if you use them right (hehe) Im just starting out :)
 
Hi sam welcome along mate.
I qualified couple of years back and still learning all the time.
As previously said doing it the proper way by doing your 3 years a college whilst on the tools followed by your nvq3 is definately the way to go if you want to be recognised as a real sparky.
 
Looks like im about to dissappoint a few! Im male
Yeah took the most challenging route to prove myself, out of interest would it be a wise idea seeking work as an electricians mate? so im exposed to the industry

im definately not disappointed fewie gotta fight the competition hahaha. Whats the hard route? They all say on here that working with people is best way to go as you get the experience and im listening to their advice because there right :) good luck!
