Hello all,

Just a quick introduction for myself having found this forum. My name is Andy & I am 26 years old. I have worked in and around general maintenance for the last number of years, this after an apprenticeship in CNC engineering when leaving school, not related but I couldn't stand CNC but was pushed into it through a lack of electrical vacancies.
Anyway I have just left general maintenance and just started a job as an electricians mate with the aim of putting myself through college in September's, getting back on track for the career I originally wanted.
I have joined up here for help, advice and for some banter.

Great too see you going down the traditional / respected route. Good luck for the future - this forum is a great resource.

Welcome.

Thanks, I can't wait for September's to get into college. I looked at all routes into electrics but I don't think anything can compare with a good old fashioned apprenticeship style form of learning. Despite working with electrics since I was 14 I know I have no where near enough theory knowledge, hence the excitement for college. The best thing too is that upon contacting college about the 2357 course, it's free, even despite my age of 26, I was fully expectant to fund myself!
