Hi guys, I found a schematic of something which I wanna make, but my native language isn't english, so I wanted to ask what does this "24ga" mean in this description:

"Spiral coil is flat
24ga magnet wire
From 3-12 Turns"

If someone could help me, it'll be great... and please explain it like a child is asking :}
Cheers!

I believe the 24ga refers to 24 Guage wire which is its thickness. From the old dark depths of my brain I believe 24g wire is approx 0.5mm.
