So we have fitted 4 x 2kw inroof systems we stated non RCD side of fuse board turned up to power up etc to find fully loaded 17th edition board 1 spare way on rcd
Whoops!!!

shame we didn't get the electrics for this site which we quoted too we are not the buyers favourite lol

@sedgy which 'in-roof' system are you using?
Module or laminate (No frame)
Slate or Tile?
If slate (seeing as it's new build) and modules are you putting thicker battens under the slate areas to lift them up so as to visually lower the profile of the in-roof system?

TIA

The only way to do it now is come off the main switch to a small db feeding solar circuit or they change db for a high integrity db

So presumably the money they saved by getting another sparky in to do the board will be spent paying you to add the extra board??

I replaced my brothers CU recently in prepartation for solar being fitted. None of the companies quoting would be specific about the CU requirements, so I replaced the aged 3036 board with a 2+4+4 board so they can use one of the non RCD ways!

Exactly what I was hoping to see
i gave them the correct info someone didn't listen

No it's a developer I do installs for there other contractor got the site but they don't do solar Pv so we quoted to do it in Stratford

@sedy34, thanks for that - saw it at Solar Power, we can't use it our specific project though as because the roof slope is less than 40degrees we'd have to build a fully waterproof roof underneath it so the costs didn't add up.

Me thinks he was joking with 'Barker' construction (not listening ..)

As you're on my doorstep, might drop by and see what it look likes installed :)
