have seen a nic registered company , one time they had wired a disabled bungalow with 29 points on a ringmain which fed 2 downflow heaters , the entire kitchen , and an electric fire . when i carried out a periodic there was no ring cont on p,n,or cpc when i traced it out one leg went from c/u to a box in kitchen which they had plastered over and left the unstripped cables coiled up inside. all the cables run through insulation in the loft and there is no smoke alarm. i reported this to the nic as they had done an installation cert that had readings for the ring on it and they have not even been back to check it that y a matter of time was 2 years ago.
there are too many to list all the faults this outfit has done they are called *** from preston nobody is dead yet but its only a matter of time
im more annoyed with the nic as the crap i get when we get our annual assesment is ridiculous i had some floodlights isolated at a rural football pitch , a 1 way unit with dp mainswitch i had the fuse in my pocket , the switch off and a sign up next to it and the board was in a locked room that i had the only key to. the inspetor was trying to get me on safe isolation because i had not dissed the neutral even tho it was a dp swich, i did have an argument with him about common sence.
has anyone got any simular experiences
