Hi, I was thinking of doing a PV Course,
Has any one got any feed back on the courses, was it worth while and do you get much work of the courses or is it just a dead end, Id be greatful of any advice you may have, the one I was thinking of doing was the NICEIC course, Worth the money ??
Thanks

I did an Niceic course when i started out 2 years ago, I didn't know much but knew lots more than the instructor. An expensive piece of paper in my experience.

Also worth checking out the demand in your area, pretty slow overall...

yep, my city and guilds was rubbish!!

There's a lot of very experienced guys out there with no work at the moment and you'll be up against them so you need to think about if this is really the right time. depending on cost and content it may be handy for background info but don't expect to actually make any money out of it.

well i noticed a date too on my cert from ecoskies (i see this just as a come back to us plan we want your money again) the way i look at it is you have paid for the course already your mcs registered and get inspected every year thats good enough unless they bring out amendments like the bs7671

I'm not registered mate and very likely not to be in the near future.

I suppose if I came home after 2014 and tried to get MCS REAL registered and the cert had expired, then I may have a problem.

Nice little earner that ECOSKIES seem to be on with this. Wonder if the NICEIC/C&G ones have a time limit???

they will be yes they are a business dont forget
