Found this today (supplementary bonding - picture below), bathroom had been refurbished less than 3 years ago along with a nice shiny new CU - not and RCD in sight (main switch and 5 x mcbs):74:

Surprisingly we were ripping it all out and starting again - long list of probs, electrics only some of it. Customer had a 'friend' do the original install :icon13:

I've just done a few things in a bathroom - I asked how old is this CU? Around 4 years was the answer - it had all the relevant stickers on it (ELECSA branded), but no RCD at all, as above, main switch and 5 MCBs.Also, very thin flex from one 6A MCB to a bell.*
I put an RCBO in for the bathroom fittings, and advised that the other 4 MCBs should be changed but I dont think she'll get it done.
I was fitting RCDs around 1996, and they werent new then, so I cannot see how a supposedly professional spark could install a new CU 4 years ago. Maybe they had got the stickers from a mate, and used them when finished? *There were no test results, and apart from the flex and no RCD, the install looked fine.
