Has anyone done the NICEIC online 18th full course I have to say I would have expected something a bit more, well more really its like steak pie full of sausages, more meat would be good, and getting booked onto a exam venue that does not involve a round trip of 100 miles would also help, but I am in Scotland so I cant complain can I..... Oh wait its the NATIONAL inspection council....... or maybe I expect to much for the thick end of a grand this year.

Deleted poor content

I've opted for the half day revision and then the exam on Monday so am not filled with joy given what you say!

BTW who owns a scientific calculator nowadays!

Have you come across the sparky ninja videos on youtube ? He has done a 20+ video series highlighting the changes in the 18th. It's meant to be very good and comprehensive. I've only gone through select parts as yet.

From what I hear from people doing any course, providers are very poor at going through this content and deliver the courses as a general regs course. Not very useful for those just updating who already have a good knowledge of the regs.

The one day course is totally pointless you will learn zero about the new changes. As Andy says Sparkyninja has some good YouTube vids.

Yes I have subscribed to sparky ninga it's very good unfortunately I paid the money for the course beforehand :( however its my understanding that you need to prove that you have done an accredited course, another gnikcuf rip off

You could find a centre that will let you do the exam only if you are confident with your learning. All you need to prove to your scheme is that you have a cert, not how you got it.

I do not see any problems passing as I keep abreast of things some additions and changes I agree with some are just stuffing I still think Marinas, Med locations, PV, carnivals fairgrounds should have a regs of their own

Do any of these courses to pass an exam, offer any learning content. My weekend & Monday course for the 17th, only taught me how to use the contents & index pages. These 18th ones will be the same.

Does make you wonder what the grown ups think how us mere mortals can ever learn this new stuff.

Course there are some exceptions, on this forums there's some real swots, who can teach themselves.

Done it, 90% - should of got more, stupid errors.
used P.R. Hurt in Yeovil, good training place, not too bad on price either.
