Just a quick question
so you need 2 completed jobs to show inspector, i was thinking of using 17th ed cu upgrade one yesterday but, though all circuits would trip in required time there was quite a difference in R1 + R2's and there was a problem in my mind that oven was just fed from ring final circuit, a lamp pendent was not to 17th as lamp was not supported over than by conductors. all house sockets were on one ring, all lights on another (not sure if should be 2 for lights and 2 for ring finals + 1 for kitchen. if problems do i just need to make customer aware (as far as assesment goes)?
Also do they come and asses while you work to check you work safely?

They want to see completed jobs with certification. Number of circuits on a fuseboard change has no impact on the assessment, you're not going to "magic" extra circuits out of thin air are you! ;)
As long as the testing has been done correctly etc you should be ok! When you mention a light hanging from conductors how do you mean? A pendant hangs from the conductors! The questions you need to ask are; is the cable correctly protected ie insulation + mechanical protection? Is it adequate to suspend the weight of the light?
The only "work" you'll be required to undertake is demonstrate safe isolation procedure, a good knowledge of testing (for example, remember your Ze is done phase to earth conductor alone and your IPF with all bonding and final circuits intact). You'll need to answer a variety of questions to show your knowledge of the regs, selection and erection and form filling, also you'll need to provide copies of the regs, your PL insurance and all that stuff.
Good luck fella! :)

With your R1+R2's I should hope there is a difference!!! Each circuit is different isn't it! Different length, XSA of conductor will change the resistance!

It is just 1 single ring final circuit throughout the house with a few fused spures off so there shouldn't be big differences in R1 + R2

If it is a 2.5mm/1.5mm ring, then the r1/r2 should be at a ratio of 1 to 1.67 respectively. r1/rn should be 1 to 1.

Older installations of 2.5mm rings had 1.0mm CPCs...This would mean the r1/r2 ratio is 1 to 2.5 respectively.

What cable sizes were installed in the ring...what r1, rn and r2 values did you get?
