alright sparks,

got a few questions regarding initial domestic installer assessments. If i include smoke detectors on each floor of the house. one at each of the top and bottom of the stairs and they were both within the correct distance from each room and supplied seperately from local lighting circuits, however they were not interconnected. will this be a non compliance? are carbon monoxide detectors allowed to be on the same circuit as smokes?

Need to be linked, either wired or wireless, and it's actually desirable to have carbon monoxide alarm interlinked too so that would sound the smokes in the event of a leak.

might well do unless the assessor doen't spot it. you could say that the job was not complete and you intended to link them.
