Hi there, wondering if anyone would be able to give some advice
I am currently starting my application for NIC Domestic Installer and my question regards the 2 installations for inspection.
I currently sub-contract to a NICEIC Approved Contractor and was wondering if it would be ok to carry out my 2 installations through this company, carrying out the installation certification on there registration (obviously not behind there backs) to comply with Part P notifiable works. Then supply my own installation certificates for these installations for my Domestic installer inspection.
I am on very good terms with the contractor and would be in there interests to assist me
Do you think this would be acceptable as the works have been notified and as my signature would be on all certificates there would be no doubt who installed them.

Thanks for any input

I have a fiver with the queens head on, don't mean it belongs to her though.
Seriously though, the works you submit must be your own work and end liability for the install must be yours alone or how can you be judged on the materials used, how it was installed etc. Please remember its how you operate as a company/installer that your assesed on.

Actually, I think it does. She just lends you the paper it's printed on!!!

Sorry OP - couldn't resist!

And yes, they need to be your own projects from start to finish. Your own house is fine as one if you do some work in it.
