Hi Guys

Do anybody use the NICEIC Electrical Certificate Software?
Is it any good or are there better alternatives available as it is quite expensive for someone just starting up.

Thanks.

NICEIC certificate software is excellent, but like a lot of NICEIC branded stuff comes with a bigger price tag.

Your client will not know the difference wether you use easycert, amtech or any other. And easycert is probably one of the simplest formats.
The NICEIC released trial versions of there software ( I still have a couple) so if you contact them as a potential customer there bound to send you one.

easycert all the way.

only prob i had with them is that my laptop packed in with their software on it, they would not allow me to put it on another machine with out the ÂŁ70 a year customer support package.
I uinderstand they only want it on one machine, but they told me they WOULD put it on if i could get the machine online, how could I? It was dead, anyway, I stumped up the Dough, its worth it, looks so proffesional and has every cert you will ever need.
Dont bother with the PDA option, its just not needed, take the laptop to work if your doing a significant amount of testing.

i just print out site survey reports and type them up when i get back...!! i know it wastes trees and all but i dont care!! the local rag uses more paper than me!!!

EasyCert for me, also use the PDA functions, Landlords, estate agents love them printed out.
With PDA send them straight by Email.

hi, i use the NICEIC software and i can confirm that it is a nightmare!!!
when it works it is ok, but when it goes down it causes me a major head ache.
i have 4 sparks that work remotely and i keep losing the certs that are sent backwards and forwards between us.
also there is no way of keeping track of the certificates that you have send out and then received.
i am currently lookig at other options.
if you want my opinion, stay away from this software.

I use napits software but also just got one for my iPad its in the App Store now, very good and does all your Certs and emails them to you and e customer in PDF format once complete.
