Good morning everyone hope you are all well
I had my 1st niceic approved contractor assessment yesterday I had 6 jobs local ready for inspection most rewires and consumer unit changes I called the customers over the weekend to see if it was possible to gain access and only had 1 customer available for the day as most people work and were not prepared to take a day off for a couple of hours visit from me which is understandable, my assessment went well and every question was answered correctly and onsite all tests were made as asked and all were pretty much spot on my assessor was very happy but said the decision lies with head office and they may ask to see further jobs, my question is has anyone else had a similar experience and what was the out come ? Any advise would be great.
Thanks
Punctuation maybe?
I got one of the companys i once worked for through there nic assessment, they said the same thing. I had 10 jobs we visited only a handful. They always say to main office has final say, reason being that the assessor may have missed a document or ticked the wrong box. But if he said you were fine, then its just a formality, or he would have said you need a revisit there and then.
We had our assessment in feb our assessor told us the same thing. It's goes in your assessors recommendation too so if he says your in you pretty much are. Just wait for the call to pay whatever fees are left for the year.
Cheers guys puts my mind at ease, but soon not my pocket lol
If you had any small no conformaties you may get a chance to put right there and then, major blunders result in a non pass, should be a sheet stating this? He should have said all is good this end, passes it to the office to check all the documentation and away you go, give them a ring in a few days saying you have a job and ok to crack on! Should be fine mate. Good luck.
