Cheaper to pay to one of these bodys by far then to keep cost down

Definitely, plus you can notify on line too so its easy.

Shame the scams charge so much for the "minimal" service they provide.

EDIT: If you are just starting out, just make sure you allow about £125 per week as your business overheads.

Atm i have a zero over head im hoping to get a grant to get a van and insurance and all the other things like a tester niceic/napit/etc registerd to try and keep me without debts/overheads

a lot of the guys in here are with elecsa....
so, i guess you know you will need a job to show em, callibrated, dated test gear with the callibration cert to hand, public liability to the tune of £2,000,000
OSG (green)...BGB......a copy of the EAWR (free download)....approved document P (you will get this with a `welcome pack` they send you)....
and of course sufficiant knowledge to carry out install, inspection & testing to BS7671...
decent biscuits when he comes round to assess

well...best of luck then and i would say elecsa would be the best for you at the moment
theres no reason why an estate agent wouldn`t be happy to take on an elecsa registered part p guy ...
you may be able to get a bit on non-notifyable work ...just to get some money in to get yourself registered....
if nowt else thats how i would do it....
