No CPC on hall way lighting

I was asked to change a light fitting for a friend and replacing the old plastic pendant from a metal class I fitting but there is No cpc.
Without ripping out laminate flooring ect there is no no way i can get a cpc from the downstairs circuit, which this light is on.
The Upstairs circuit has cpc throughout the whole circuit and it would be a easy job to take a cpc from the upstairs circuit to this light.
Is this OK to do? I cant see anything in the regs that says no.

Personally no I would not. For me it's keep the circuits separateas per the regs live-neutral and earth all back to the board as one circuit.
Reg 543.3.1 where a cpc consists of a separate cable it mustbe incorporated into the same wiring system as the live conductor

not a good idea, i would try and talk them out of it, i had same problem a few weeks ago and the customer wanted it doing no matter what so i wired the light to upstairs, not always possible due the way it wires but was ok for me.

Thanks guys, i have managed to find a way to get a earth down through the airing cupboard from the loft back to the CU.
Weird thing is that this light is the only one on the whole circuit with no cpc.
Must have been a partial rewire as it looks like some remedial work was done to sort out a shared neutral, why a cpc wasnt run with that i dont know.
