Sorry Rod I'll get the sender to sort me out a better picture, basically it's thingy you hang on your belt with a test point it's a KTP-1 I think or KT1-P think it's the first one KT???? makes you wonder. The links broken Pete
This thing:

I'm not convinced. The reason I carry a volt stick around is so I can get an indication of whether or not there's voltage present, then if in doubt I can get my approved voltage tester out. I use a Fluke 1AC which has a kind of built in self-test so there's no point forking out an extra ÂŁ45 for this thing, which appears to be attempting to 'legitimise' use of a non-contact indicator as an approved voltage tester.
That's the beastie Adam thanks for sorting that out.You mean a manufacturer is trying to sell a product without thinking of the safety implications....... it would never happen......
I reckon Spoon classic aint it? a bloody proving unit for something that is as much use as a hand brake on a canoe. You mean a manufacturer is trying to sell a product without thinking of the safety implications....... it would never happen......
Yeah but a proving unit when you can rub them on yous sweatshirt to see if they work.I am quite happy to rely on my Fluke Volt sticks.
Just tap it against the back of your hand.Yeah but a proving unit when you can rub them on yous sweatshirt to see if they work.
Disagree Westie, if using a drumond (lamps) then a proving unit is a must.Nowt wrong with volt sticks use mine everyday but a proving unit which costs more than your average stick, not that mine is average of course is crazy. In fact any proving unit is a waste of money.
