Not issuing a EIC

Hello all,
long story short, a customer of mine has had a office (shed) fitted in there garden, the company fitted all the electrics inside , we installed the cable to it (before the shed was built) we have supplied a EIC for the supply cable, the company who fitted all the stuff inside is refusing to issue a EIC until they make a final payment (even tho they haven't finished and won't answer any messages) I've always been told legally you must issue a schedule of test results, but I can't find any laws ect that say you must within a certain amount of time... Any help would be great.

Because the company fitted the wrong windows, varnished the wood instead of painting it and a few other things.

I don't think you will get an EIC until the job is finished as testing won't be complete .

so we have window fitters doing electrical work. if they can't even fit the right windows.........

Sounds like a cheapskate company if you have been their contractor and fitted the supply and you did not get the installation work, I would not be fighting their corner.

The electricans have finished, it's a large company that have their own electricians

The only reason I didn't get the install work was because it was included in the price of building it.

Well in that case you may have a chance if they are approved contractors and you push through them. I suspect the legal route will cost a large proportion of the bill................
