not showing voltage

Hi Guys. When testing an electronic light transformer on or off load 240v/60w for output voltage my old Fluke 77 or my new Fluke 117 won't detect any voltage either on AC or DC or auto, but my Fluke T120 will pick up the 12v output. Anybody know why this is.

Did you leave your fluke 77 on auto ,or deliberately cycle ..to an appropriate one . (near 20V AC ?)
(pulsating voltages can confuse auto range at times)
..and occasionally a meter never settles...
Random like figures..!

It is not a transformer. It is a switch mode power supply operating at 10s of kHz. Are your old Flukes rated at those frequencies?
