Hi people ive almost done my 1st year in electrics and its bin really good working with my boss but over the last few months things haven't bin too good im havin to wait 3-4 weeks longer to get paid, he also has become very un organised as to not knowing where we are from one day to the next day, my boss has a lot of work on and keeps gettin more work on a weekly basics. My dilemma is I have a family and bills to pay just like everyone else my partner gets stressed when I walk in 2or 3 hours later then my finish because my boss has doubled booked us, im in to minds on weather to look for another job to finish my college course or give him another chance. Any advice would be great

As Trev says, talk to him. There's a number of possibilities, maybe he's trying to give you a push toward the door, maybe he's having cash flow issues would be two of them. What you need to do is find out the cause. If it's the latter then maybe look at getting paid weekly instead of monthly, this might suit both of you because it spreads the financial load for him and if he's late in paying then it's only one weeks salary you're waiting for instead of a whole months.

Also being very busy and actually turning a profit are two completely different things. Turnover in a business is nothing more than vanity.

Communication is the key here.
It may be that he has no problems with working late or not getting money on time and does not realise it is causing you problems.
He may be finding that the level at which the business is running is overtaking his capacity for organisation, maybe you could talk to him to see if there is way to spread the load (without you becoming the underpaid person running the business) so that you can respond to calls or purchase items from the wholesaler, whilst he is catching up with paperwork and organising jobs. It may be that another person is required (if the business can stand the cost.

However unless you raise your concerns in a sit down face to face meeting then you will just get more frustrated.
Good to communicate with your partner as well, if the job starts to run late and the boss says we have another job to do after, ring your partner and let them know, and try and arrange time to help at other times than usual.

However if the discussion does not go well then it may be time to find something else and give your regrets to the boss.
