Hi, its been a really busy week, after a week on the red wine and cheese in France last week so my brain is aa bit mushy!

Yesterday I replaced a single socket with a double pole switch in a kitchen and installed a panel heater. Also I replaced the MCB with a RCBO.

Is this notifiable under Part P?

IMO, rather than a Minor Works Cert, it should have gone on a full Install Cert.
reason being you've changed the MCB for a RCBO, so need to do a full test on the circuit.
Alan.

Actually 've done an EIC, as I did a test of all circuits (old house) because I'd found out that the only ring, wasn't a ring, so I persuaded the owner that a test of all circuits was a good idea before I made any changes!

In the interest of clarity the DIC was only needed for the 3 modified circuits. Any "report" testing on any other untouched circuits in the installation belong on a PIR or a soon to be called EICR?

so, surely you should be issuing a MWC for the circuit extension & RCBO and a PIR for your testing of the rest of the installation ????

You can, if you want, log your modified circuits on a DIC - helpful if you're if you've worked on more than one circuit in an installation. However to protect yourself you have to be clear and identify the parts of the circuit you are certifying. You have to be careful you are not certifying parts of the modified circuit that you can't see and are not responsible for.
