Hello, just wanted to know if i was to work on an commercial building is the work notifiable????
I have not yet received my NICEIC registeration number. Can i still signnof the jobs??
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
 
Examples of notifiable work:
anywhere in a dwelling or its surroundings:â–  a complete new installation or rewire
â–  changing a consumer unit
â–  installing
• a new final circuit (eg for lighting, heating, socket-outlets, a shower
or a cooker)
• extra-low voltage lighting (other than pre-assembled CE marked sets)
• a solar photovoltaic power supply
• electric ceiling or floor heating
• an electricity generator
• power or control wiring for a new central heating system.
Within a kitchen or special location:
â–  modifying a final circuit (eg adding a lighting point, fused connection unit
or socket-outlet).
Within a special location:
â–  installing telephone or extra-low voltage
wiring and equipment for the
purposes of communications, information technology, signalling, control
or similar purposes
â–  installing a prefabricated equipment set (e.g. for lighting) and associated
flexible leads with integral plug and socket connections.
Outdoors:
â–  installing garden lighting or power (eg a supply to a garden shed, detached
garage, other outbuilding, electric gate or pond pump)
â–  installing a socket-outlet
â–  installing a lighting point or other fixed current-using equipment
(eg an air conditioning unit or a radon fan)
 
seeing as kate is new around here , i'll give her a heads up ,

i was trying to get a copy of the building regs part p thing...computer is being a dick so i settled for something that had niceic written on it as OP had stated niceic. Im not niceic, i dont like them. Think its extra money for less.

sorry! i downloaded a toolbar that i actually want to keep, but its stopping google from loading. have to use their own crappy search engine. any IT specialists on here???? if there are...please can you fix my laptop. Video driver or something is pooped crashes the system.

The rcd spur being fitted is probably because there wasn't rcd protection of that supply.
