hello
got some jobs comming up replacing 6mm tails to 25mmm with 16mm earth all bonding is in place and meets regs but there is a good chance i wont be able to change the dis board witch is the re wireable fuses if i was to notify this i was thinking i would put on the eic that it was a alteration and client has been advised to upgrade distribution board do you think this would be the right way of doing it?

No requirement to change the board for that.
You should not be really giving advice on a Certificate, that is what a Report is for, and if you were to give written advice, you really should have indemnity insurance.
What you need to do is note under comments on existing installation any defects (where reasonable practicable) you have spotted.
In this case, you would note lack of RCD protection to socket-outlets intended for general use by ordinary persons.
Lack of RCD protection for socket-outlets for use by mobile equipment outdoors (if applicable).
Lack of additional protection for cables concealled in walls if appicable.
Lack of RCD protection for circuits of a location containing a bath or shower.

yep i think that would be the best way of doing it if i noted all the lack of rcd protection the ideal solution would be if they let me put a new dis board in with rcd protection what would be max disconetion time of a 100a fuse that the REC will of provided for my tails
