Hi All,
I am at the planning stage of a bathroom refurb & am looking for a new Shower with Body Jets. Ideally I would want an reputable brand like Aqualisa, Bristan etc so it will last many years & spares should not be a problem - however I don't think my budget will allow for a Grohe or Hansgrohe.
I plan on using my own Overhead Drencher & own Handheld so am looking for a system that has:
1) Overhead Drencher
2) Pole Mounted Hand Held
3) 6-8 Body Jets.
Very Important: The system MUST allow water to flow at the same time from at least two places - eg: The Overhead Drencher & Body Jets or Pole Mounted Handheld & Body Jets. Are they called Diverters or Outlets?
As for the Shower Unit/Valve(?) it will be an In Wall Concealed type but am really not sure which to get - I see there are basically two types - those with 2 knobs/controls & those with 3. I do not know what the differences are & what the extra 3rd knob does - can anyone clarify please? Which should I get? If anyone knows any decent brands/models but not silly money please kindly let me know as they all look very similar the same to me. What is important is to be able to get spare parts easily in future - never had a problem getting parts for our Aqualisa & Bristan but there are so many makes & brands out there.
My current Bristan Prism in our disabled wetroom downstairs has two knobs - the top one has a central On/Off Position & moving it to left allows water to flow from the handset & moving it to the right allows water to flow from the overhead. The second knob below allows one to adjust the water temperature.
I see places like Victoria Plumb sell entire shower kits with Body Jets but they only have 4 jets & are from brands that I have not heard of & not established so worried about reliability & spares - I do not want to break new tiles after a couple of years should they no longer be available or need replacing as I am planning on using very large format tiles.
I also see places online selling...
