I've got an interview at College for the above course but can't find any information about it other than what there is at that specific College, here is what they say about it on there website;

Does this sound, to you good people, to be a course that would at least get me a trainee job as an Electrician?

Also, if it sounds good, what would you advise me to do/read in preparation for the course?

It might be really good but the problem is trying to get someone to employ you with a qualification they've never heard of.
You might be better off looking into the more recognised city & guilds qualifications (2330 or 2357).
