Well the first qualification is now done, i have got the new QCF award level 3 for assessing professional competence, which replaces the old A1 assessor award. The PTLLS is also going well, and it makes a change to be learning on a non Electrical course for a change. All but 2 of my NVQ L1/L2 students have completed L1, so things are looking good.

Congratulations Howard, are you enjoying mate, that's the $10M question?

Yes mate, best move i have made for a long time. There is a hell of a lot of job satisfaction. I always took pride in my own work, but that pales into insignificance when you can watch a 16 year old turn out the same standard and you know that you have taught him. It gets interesting next month when i start delivering the C&G short courses.

Cheers.........Howard

Good to hear Howard. I'm still trying to get onto the assessors training, I'm being messed around by my local college big time.
Would like to get my PTTLS finished some time also.

Seems like all the colleges near me are poo!

Let's face it Howard, we all knew that you would be great at teaching. Your a credit to the future of the industry turning out quality electricians. (is that enough arse kissing? I think so ;))

Well done on your own quals, have a pint on me to celebrate.

The downside is that there are some really talented lads on my course, most have jobs, but there are 3 or 4 who dont. The ones that dont have got endless enthusiasm, a lot of ability and intelligence. Never again would i mistreat an apprentice, i would employ any one of them tomorrow without any hesitation. So if anyone is looking for a high calibre young lad with a great willingness to graft and learn, and who desperately wants to work and you are in the West Yorkshire area get in touch by PM.

Cheers............Howard
