hello i was hoping some one on here could answer a few questions for me, i had been working as a self employed fire alarm installer on large comercal sites for 3 years. during this time i have done the city and guild 2330 course, i have completed level 2 and nearly finished level 3 in evening course at my local collage. I started working for a major electrical contractor who have given me a full time job as an electrical apprentice. They have put me in contact with jtl training, who are willing to fund the am2 and nvq level 3 this is the ocf eal corse, not city and guilds. are these awards reconised industry wide and in other countrys as the city and guilds are? they also stated it was the 2357 course, which to my understanding was only a qualifcation that city and guilds can provide? i feel that they have tryed to decive me a little bit. All i want to do is progress as far as i can in the industry and the route in educational progression seems to have a lot of us newer to the indutry confused as we have been told a lot of conflicting information. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance.

From what i can make of it, the EAL course examinations are a bit of a farce, Open Book affairs. Hopefully i'm wrong, but anything seems to go these days as far as fast track/easy goes!!
