Hi all,
I’m in the final stage of my electrical apprenticeship and I need some help to complete my portfolio.
I have all units apart from 115 Fault Diagnosis and Rectification signed off from my assessor.
I have a foreign electrical qualification (Bulgaria) comparable to NVQ level 3, but when I started working for my employer I told them I will want to complete an apprenticeship so I have a UK gained qualification.
I am currently working in maintenance and not a lot of installation work but I do come across electrical faults. My problem is we don’t do inspection and testing and don’t have a multifunction tester, I only have a voltage meter, fluke multimeter and clamp meter.
I managed to get the assessor on site to do inspection & testing with his own tester, but I know have to do fault finding.
My question is will it be enough to just use voltage tester, clamp meter & multimeter to identify my faults and prove ok to use once rectified?
Thanks
