hello there

How should I clasified a domestic installation??

Section 304 of NVQ3

1.1 Confined spaces
1.2 Commercial
1.3 Industrial
1.4 Agricultural
1.5 Working near other machinery

Any ideas??

Thanks

Storm, I'm currently doing my NVQ as well. As far as I'm aware any domestic jobs you do won't cover these key criticals, you will have to complete jobs in two out of these five other fields to be able to tick them off. I mainly do domestic work, so I have had to speak nicely to my boss, and we have arranged some small commercial and industrial jobs for me to complete.

Thanks,

If you do some job in loft, under floor this can be clasified as confined space ;)

I have just found out.

Good luck with ur NVQ Kevin

Thats interesting, it seems that different colleges/tutors have different definitions. My mate is also doing his NVQ, and was told he couldn't use a loft as a confined space. I'm doing mine online though, I may check with them as it would be helpful for me to be able to use a loft. Cheers.
