Guys

I have recently registered for my NVQ level 3,i have already c&g 2330 level 3,17th & 2391
but am i bit confused as to whether i also need to do AM2 also,i am in my mid 30's & have been working in the industry for 5 years, have spent a fair bit already trying to get quailified so could do without having to pay for the AM2 also.

Any advice would be welcome

If you register for the NVQ level 3 2356 before the 31st March you do not need to take the AM2 exam.

Any registrations after this date will be enrolled on the new 2357. It will then be mandatory for all candidates to take the AM2 exam.

In your case you will not have to take it and don't let anyone convince you otherwise!

Sparks, I'm in the same position as you, just signed up for my NVQ3, and have had it confirmed from a number of sources, including others on here, and Delta Training whom I've signed up with, that because we have over two years experience, we don't need to complete the AM2.

You now have to complete you AM2. You wouldn't have had to before August last year if you had over 10 years experience. It's JIB who introduced this.
