Can anyone help??
NYCWY cable has been spec'd on a job I am doing.
Can anyone tell me what its advantages are over standard swa and is it terminated the same as swa?
Thanks in advance

Never used it or even heard of it being used. A quick google tells me its pretty much a hi-tuff with a copper stranded screen.
If this was my spec, my first move would be a call to a cable manufacturer to find out it's particular characteristics.
What has it been specced to supply ?

Going by the link, it's not a SWA cable, and doesn't look as if they will take SWA glands either!! So you'll need to find and purchase the correct glands.

How come your asking these questions now, did you or your company not read the contract spec and submit your tender price accordingly?? Looks like someone could be out of pocket here, maybe big time!!! lol!!
Unless of course your only at the tendering stage of this job??

Unfortunatly, I cannot tell you what it feeds.
It does need to be approx 300mm 4c though.

Largest made is 240mm² unless Eland make one larger, but I have never heard of this. This is basically TN-C-S cable as it is used by the DNO's to feed new installs, why on earth would this be spec'ed on a Job?
