It is used in UK by the MOD and others. The main reason it is not used more often is it's lack of British or Harmonised Standard approval, however any installer wishing to use it may refer to DIN/VDE 0250, use the manufacturers data in the design and satisfy themselves that this cable provides at least the same degree of safety as BS or IEC types in accordance with BS7671 133.1
