so hear it goes ,customer ring up ,we are looking for a new spark can you pop in and have a chat .
so they sit me down ,the spark left us and we require a new spark. but we have another spark.
but he can only do a couple of days per week ,but he is not reliable .
a contract is it ,so the customer saying or telling me the old spark charged them about £25.00 pounds per hour ,and we will supply the materials has well . so what do you charge me ,per job include materials and labour .so me head now thinking I charge them £30.00 per hour and say I change a socket I will get the £30.00 per hour .i looked at the customer and said I run a business the same has you .
she said the last spark made ,wait for it two hundred thousand over 12 years .
never look a gift horse in the mouth ,unless you either they got carrot or a juice apple .having spoken or i should say I'm now interviewing them about the job can you really afford me .

what their are saying work for us at a bargain price ,do they not consider van etc . on call 24 hrs , plus the customer pulls out from her draw ,these are the bunch keys what the original spark ,what was he a F**King jailer .

Maybe the last spark was paid £200k over the last 12 years, but how many hours did he work to get it and were they all single hours in a day or were they 8 hr days.

Well they said £25 an hour so 200K / 25 is 8000 hours

8000 hours / 12 years =666 hours a year.


666/52 weeks = 12.8 hours a week on average.

Ahh right I took it that the work was in their very big house..
Negotiating hourly rates is ok if the work is guaranteed and they are good payers...
Good chance a lot of the work will be call outs, do you charge extra per call out?
