Forum closed down this afternoon for a while for an up date. I was lost without it, I had to watch day time tv. Never again.

Transferring the forum to a new faster server mate. Should be done now.

You might notice the odd page not loading while I tweak some things. If that's the case just refresh the page and it should load. If you've written a post and it's crashed on you when you submit, hit back, wait a few seconds, and then click "auto restore post" or whatever it says, bottom left of the post box. And it'll come back. Then resubmit.

Should be fully done in an hour or so.

Like will be back as soon as the server has fully propagated. It's actually still there just not loading right now. I managed to click like on tilersforums intermittently but it's gone on that forum now too. Give it a day or two max. But it should be back later.

Thanks button still works :).

It's going to take an hour or so to fully reboot? Where's that bloody cat? Here ----- -----, this won't hurt a bit.

Basically the forum is loading from the new server now. But your ISP's DNS Cache may be old and loading the old server info and content. This can take upto 48 hours to fully refresh but normally works quite quickly. It'll depend on your ISP, the area you are in, the routers involved throughout the whole network from the server to your internet connection and a number of other things including how often your ISP refreshed it's Cached copy of the forum.

You'll be able to tell because I've upgraded the forum software - if you scroll to the bottom of the forum and see "Search engine optimization by vbseo 3.6.0 RC1" you're still loading the old server info. If you see "...vbseo 3.6.0" (with no RC1) you're loading the new forum version.

When I click to view pms/notifications/profile etc... It's taking me through to view somebody else's.

Had to change your username to "rob2" - that's a glitch in the forum user accounts system. That'll be fixed once I have a bit more time. It was the full stop that confused the system.

Yes mate it'll be next week when I get chance to do minor things like that. I've got loads of important things to be getting on with first though mate. Hang in there. Send me a PM next week if it's not been sorted already for you.

I've only just been able to get on! kept getting Internal server error. Wonder why when the forum seems to have been up and running all evening?

Members without numbers in their names get priority :):).
Only joking Kiers, its been the same for a lot of people. As Dan said before it depends on your server etc.

It takes a huge amount of time and resources to perform the various tasks and there may be occasions where the forum will be unavailable.

However, Dan will keep it running as smoothly as possible while it all takes place.

Hang in there :)
