Hello everyone,
At the ripe old age of thirty nineteen, I've decided to look into obtaining a C&G Solar PV qualification. I'm originally an apprentice served spark with SEEBOARD. The problem being is that I've been out of the trade for years doing data / voice / EPOS and my qualifications are old. I passed C&G 236 pt1 and 2 and 232 utilisation of electrical power back in the 80's. I assume I'll need to do a 17th regs course at least but anything else ? Is the 236 still recognised with the NICIEC ? It was a monster of a course way back then ..... non of your 4 day stuff. Also is the C&G Solar PV course the industry standard for PV installers ?

Thanks in advance ..... Malc.

im sure u can get a jib card with part 1 and 2 (hard course), youll need the 17th put anyone can pass that to be honest nothing to worry about, for part p status as a min u need 17th and thats it. ive heard the BTEC solar course is the best and C&G not really worth it

City and Guilds pv course at centre of alternative technology in Walse is the best course I have found. I currently employ a few teams covering the Uk and I insist on the C&G course.
