just trying to find out if anyone has ever seen or heard of a Quickline "Square" consumer unit. just got to do a job where one is fitted and need to know what breakers fit in them

Square D consumer units, Quickline is the range. They have there own breakers with a specific fixing clip. I had a nightmare getting hold of the breakers for one of these last month.

You need to be very careful with the code/identification on the breakers though to ensure you get the correct ones.

Very expensive though - owned by Schnider I think.

Eventually got the breakers through the Electric Center although there does seem to be a lot of e-bay.

Thanks for the info on the cu guys. i went round there today and yeah sure enough. the rcbo's and mcb's are old and as you said they are hard and expensive to get hold of. I have now got the job to put a new cu in with all RCBO's as it is a TT system. hopwfully it will stop the fridge / freezer tripping the RCOB. think it maybe the rcbo thats causing it as the fridge is only 2 years old and a Bosch. gonna do a test on it anyway afer so if anything is wrong we shall find out !! anyway just to let you know, the quickline square d rcbo's cost ÂŁ55 and take 5 weeks to get them. so if any of you come across one of these just change the board. its cheaper and quicker
