Asking for help in locating wooden blocks, the type that were used to mount old fashioned round lighting switches. I know how to fit them, and the switches that go with them, just having difficulty in locating a supply of the blocks, they were about 3 inches square, with an OG type finish to the sides, does anyone, or has anyone any idea as to where I can get about 4 of them, may be a case of getting a woodworker to make them from scratch, grateful for any help.

Used to have loads of new ones which I dumped, never know when you need them eh. There is also a company called Switchtowood which sells them complete with switch for ÂŁ27.90

Can still ask that bloke, think he just sliced the head off a meerkat by mistake?

Incidentally, what is the fascination of having model meerkats in ya garden. There's a house round the corner with two friggin stone ones in the front garden. Better than a Ford Escort on blocks, but even so?

Sure you could give it a bash with spare time you have ;)
I do have one of those switches though. an old porcelin pendant, too. I don't know why just seem to find old equipment and tools fascinating.
Simple and dangerous; straight to the point lol
