Hello people!
Just a quick intro then I can go back to watching from the sidelines.
I'm 34 and decided to retrain after a 2 year illness and I'm just coming to the end of my 2365 level 2.
Really enjoying it and I've set myself a 5 year goal.
That goal being AM2.
I know I can do it quicker but want to experience as much as I can in between.
I may ask for help but don't worry my mate isn't an electrician who's on holiday and is going to test my work.;) Also I'm OCD so scruffy work tips me over

5 years is realistic for experience and perhaps confidence to go it alone and excell at it. Keep lurking, reading and searching this forum and the archive because, ‘there’s gold on then there hills’, welcome to the forum proper!

i did 2 years of labouring before starting my actual apprenticeship so technically my apprenticeship has been around 6 years, soon you will be able to diagnose a callout over the phone

forgot to mention that you are in the same boat as i was last year, i had just recovered after 2 years out of the game, got my FICA booked for january

Welcome to the forum Drew34!
I hope you're feeling better after the 2 year illness, congratulations on jumping back into things, the course can be difficult but very rewarding, ask as many questions as you need to!
