I think SMA only have around 15-20 employees in the UK so they can't get rid of many....

Interesting developments in the inverter sector. Cut-throat competition and boom & bust scenarios as governments across Europe change their minds on FiTs. Solar-Max have already succumbed and a couple more will probably follow.

One of my contacts in China told me recently that one major manufacturer had its factory blockaded by suppliers due to unpaid invoices. Another manufacturer is busy trying to find a buyer for itself to avoid going under.

Interesting to see Huawei getting more active with 3-phase stuff in the UK. My contact reckons they are by far the strongest Chinese outfit....so we might be seeing more of them in the coming years.
