opinions on my apprenticeship

im about to qualify working for a company which only does temporary electrics so im used to working with all different voltages and terminating SWA i have done 70mm and helped with 150mm but in my job we never do any containment so i just would like to know what other company opinions on me will be when im qualified

i currently work on my own with a van so im used to working on my own
im bright and passed every exam first time

whats your opinion on me as a electrician what would you recommend me to do

Get some work with some one who does rewires or something like that so you can get the experience with containment. May not be easy to find but sounds like your only issue.

yeah with my current work there is no need to be accurate and there is rarely a specification i just want to have experience of all electrical work

Stick at it Luke, there is nothing but **** out there at the moment.
Nothing wrong with being good at whatever you do, and with job security.

You have said it all, ....You have your own van, and sound like you have been working on your own for quite a time already, without any normal supervision. I would hazard a guess and say that you don't really have an apprenticeship at all, more like an arrangement, ...college training in return for cheap labour, working on your own!!

You've got to somehow find a way, to get out here and find a placement with a company or a busy sole trader that works across the sector board. Where you can gain experience working with/under experienced electricians

Don't you surface mount cable-tray around the whole gaff? Completley does away with 1st fix and waiting around for the plastering and joining bell*nds

I can only assume you are taking the P with this one. I have never come across cable tray in a domestic re wire.
