Hi everyone

I've recently come across a Rcd unswitched fused spur, acting as DB at the origin, which only feeds a small communal lighting circuit, my opinion this still right but not always ideal

Something fishy about that FCU installation!! It looks like a MC face plate has been chopped about, and fitted behind the plastic FCU face plate!! Or are my eyes playing tricks with me?? lol!!

Agree with Richard.

Trivial point i know, and please correct me if im being dumb - but whats with the recommended test date 3months later? It's not a construction site is it...

It's an MK metal clad system box, they are designed to fit only MK plates, not deta plastic plates!

I know what it is, and why they have done it. But would still love to see what sort of chopping out has taken place to that back blank (assumed) face plate!! Wiring wise, it looks as if it's also going to be pretty crowded in that back box too!! lol!!

There isnt a 'back blank face plate' !!...the FCU is fitted straight onto the back box!!......it just happens to be a box designed for MK plates only.
