Warning....this thread contains someone moaning.
Things haven't been the best where I work over the last year. The work is getting more limited as the days go by. Anything that takes more than a few hours is contracted out. The promise of training has dried up. The only benefit is that I can start early and finish in time to pick the kids up from school.
Iv been job hunting for a while now, had numerous interviews and some offers. I recently had a good offer. It's an 8k increase on my current salary.
Brilliant.
Speak with our child care provider (who is the cheapest around) to work out how much it will be for 2 kids for 3 hours a day.
Boom.... that will be 5k please!.... what??
It's not worth it. I'm gutted tbh. I feel stuck with no options. This job I found was a good paid role. There is no chance of finding a role where I can pick the kids up by 5.30 and will pay enough thay easily covers the childcare costs plus more.
Kick in the teeth.
So, with no other choice my only option is to do some extra training to help keep me sane. I dont know how I'm going to afford it but I'm going to try my best. I'm looking at bms training but it's not clear where the clear training route is. What quals are recognised.
I cant just keep plodding along here without some mental stimulation and learning.
Rant over. Frustration continues.
