What will happen if I plug a computer charger into an outlet, and then the other end into a plug that lets me plug that end into the same outlet...

If I am understanding correctly
both the input and the output of a power supply connected to a mains outlet?

what I would expect to happen is the following.
BANG
FLASH
SMOKE
FLAMES
EMBARASSEMNT

some or all of the things listed above.
it is one of the experiments I would list as “Don’t try this at home children”

OK, OK, OK..... I also have to ask the obvious question...... why the hell would you want to??!!

I think we have to be misreading the post.
I've read it a few times and I think bad wording has got me confused. I don't think he/she means a charger as such.

I thinking he/she means a cable with a plug at one and and an IEC connector at the other.
That then can plug into an adapter that has a plug at the end of it.
Basically linking the two sockets they they are plugged into.

Anyhow, that's what I think he's/she's (they) are trying to ask.
I could be completely wrong... maybe if the OP comes back things will be clarified. 😁

That's still only an over-complicated widow maker

I’m confused, when I plug my computer into a outlet the the other end plugs into the computer. Please be more specific.
