Hi all, had an outside power socket fitted and want to know if it's possible to wire up a patio type light (wall mounted) and instead of having it hard wired in, using a plug to go in the socket. Firstly can it be done safely by non qualified persons, what equipment I need and any tips. I envisage fixing the wire down the wall ending up plugged into the protected outside socket. Speak slowly with hand gestures for this novice. Thanks for any advice.
