does anyone know if there are outside lights available with integral PIR that you can over ride with a switch rather than doing that quick on/ off thing with the supply?

all you need to do is feed a switched L to the L out terminal. this is connected directly to the lamp if you look at the terminals in the unit, you will see where the lamp is wired to.

thanks tel. i will have a look at that. its for someone i know who put two new fittings up now their up front rcd keeps tripping intermittently. when I got there he taken down the fittings and taped everything up . had a look in the switch and no neutrals there. Only L/N/E at hall light fitting so assume JB method used.

I have diagnosed damp as cause of rcd tripping through common sense really, couldn't do much today as raining. Apparently old light fittings had PIR but over-ride too. Guy gonna take new fittings back and get ones with override, but maybe I'll tell him he can still use them.

Out of interest, have you seen any with dedicated override terminal?
