i have power to an outside garage. however the garage has been removed and at the minute the cable is coiled up waiting to be re-routed to the new garage. would it be possible to use the feed to put up a security light? what i was thinking was putting an outside socket on the wall and then spurring off to a security light above the socket?
the power at the moment is 2.5mm 3 core SWA, coming from a junction box where a 2.5 T+E supply is feeding the circuit. at the minute i am not too sure if this T+E has been pulled from the kitchen ring or whether it is a separate feed.
just going on the information given to me by a friend.
can anyone help??? thanks

The answer is yes and no
you can probably use the supply but it will need to be fused down. Probably difficult to do outside
best bet is get a spark in, it won't cost too much and you will know its safe
