Is there any rules on chasing cables out on an outside wall??? As basically sweb is having there meter box o/s and didn't know weather you could chase a swa in the exterior wall?? Im not going to use this option now as i will just drill through and up the internal wall but just got my head thinking as i have never come across it before. I assume it is ok to bring the swa up the inside wall aslong as its with the distances from the walls?? thanks

If you are talking about the main incomer you normally put a "Hockey Stick" ( large bore tube with a slow bend formed in one end ) in the cavity to the meter box. Not done one for a while but this was supplied with the meter box the last time I installed one

As above, a 'hockey stick' is used on the outside of the wall to meter box or even built into the cavity on a new build.

yeah thats what i meant from the dno in the box to the ccu. can i put a switch fuse in there box aswell?? thanks

Take your tails through the wal to either the CU or Switched fuse ,( from the switched fuse run SWA to your CU - I would not chase SWA into the wall )
