Oven trips the Rcd when heating up. Does it twice then after that it will work fine. I’ve tested the circuit and it’s clear, I’ve disconnected the fan in the oven and it’s still tripped. Then I’ve took the element out and insulation resistant tested it and it’s testing fine, any other ideas what it could be??

there may be more than 1 element.

sometimes elements fail as they are changing temperature due to expansion.

what IR result did you get and at what voltage?

you could try disconnecting the element, safely terminating cables and seeing if the oven still warms up and trips rcd.

Is the oven new or not been used in a while, if there is any gaps in the end seals then moisture can permeate the element but this will usually clear itself after a few uses.
It may also be pointing to an impending failure, as the element heats up it expands and also can deform, it may on occasion leak to earth doing so, this is down to a breakdown in the element insulation packing and/or simply the element getting too close to the metal sheath.

Element heating up and expanding causing a fault somewhere, seen it many times during my time looking after Married quarters on a RAF base, typical oven fault.
